3D Modelling

30 Jul

Recently several staff members within the Earth Science department participated in a workshop demonstrating how photography can enhance the students visual learning experience and add to teaching methods.

This initiative, run by UTAS in collaboration with various universities, will provide detailed 3D imagery and virtual field trips at various locations throughout Australia.

The following images show the 3D outcrop-scale features that can be produced. These photos are taken from various sites in and around Broken Hill and Double Schistosity Hill.
