Some things never fail to get students on campus, the tried and true method being free food! For our discipline, this is our annual event and it’s our shout. We encourage students to grab as much vegan, vegetarian and combined gluten free, vegan pizza as needed to fuel them on for the coming weeks of their studies.
This year we welcomed 27 new Development Studies students. Academics, staff and study colleagues dropped in to say hello, introduce themselves, catch up and let students know what’s up ahead with their studies and inspire potential futures. A great turn out with lots of happy faces!

Dr Kathy Mee, Program Convenor of the Bachelor of Development Studies, gave a short inspiring speech to greet students. Kathy notified the cohort of our recent successes with graduates achieving big things to be announced in the upcoming graduation ceremonies. She also introducing the Combined Bachelor of Development Studies degrees that are on the horizon for Semester 2, 2017. All exciting news to be featured in the blog in times to come!
We’ll have to see whether the record of 16 pizzas can be beaten next year. Time will tell…
