With Courage Let Us All Combine

Refugee Week is an opportunity to raise awareness about the issues affecting refugees and asylum-seekers. It is a time to listen to their lived experiences and celebrate all of their positive contributions towards Australian society. The theme this year is ‘with courage let us all combine’ as in the Australian National Anthem.

Events at Callaghan campus are being held from 20-22 June.

Tues 20 June, 6pm-8pm

‘Cast From the Storm’ Documentary Screening

If you would like to get involved in working with refugees and asylum-seekers in Newcastle or on the Central Coast, there are many great organisations that you can get involved with. Alongside those noted above, you can search here for other organisations that might require volunteers. Get in touch. Many of our graduates reflect on how volunteering helped their career and personal outlook – give it a go.
