Acknowledging Country

Whilst the online counselling service is designed to be accessible for students from all areas of Australia and those studying abroad, the online counsellors are physically located on the Callaghan Campus and as such we wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians: the Pambalong clan of the Awabakal people on whose traditional land the Callaghan campus of the University of Newcastle is located. We would also like to take the opportunity to welcome the indigenous students at any of our campuses to engage in counselling available for students studying on all campuses. We would also like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the traditional custodians: the Darkinjung people on whose traditional land the Ourimbah campus of the University of Newcastle is located and the Birapai people on whose traditional land the Port Macquarie campus of the University of Newcastle is located.
