Online Counselling
History
The Online Counselling Service at UON is funded by the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). Our role is to be able to provide students with access to counselling and advice regarding their health and well-being whilst they are a student at UON.
Whilst traditionally counselling has been accessed face-to-face on campus, there is a growing need for alternative sources of access and we use the founding to provide a range of services as well as ensuring students can access support in a variety of ways.
What we offer
Drop-in sessions (via Skype messaging) that allow students to talk to a counsellor with no appointment.
Individual counselling sessions online through phone, zoom, or e-mail.
Self-directed and Clinically assisted Programs
UON eCliPSE is a free site available to all students at UON that can help students to access clinically proven online programs to tackle issues such as depression, anxiety and drug and alcohol use.
